名前で呼ばれた人たち
Called by Name
ホロコースト被害者の実話に基づいて制作し、
2024年に日本各地で全9回上演されたカード演劇。
観客は約50分間の合同葬に参列し、
引いたカードに書かれたキーワードをもとに、
自身の頭の中で架空の人物を立ち上げ、
故人の友人として他の参列者に生前のエピソードを
共有し、共に弔います。
自らの口からエピソードを話すことで、
架空の故人が古くからの知人だったかのように
忘れられなくなるでしょう。
＊カード演劇とは
公演参加者（観客ともいえる）が、
自分で引いたカードに書かれたキーワードをもとに、
想像上の物語を創作してもらう参加型の演劇です。

This work is titled A Card Play. Audience members participate as players by drawing cards and ‘taking’ imaginary deceased people associated with the keywords written on the cards. Called by Name was inspired by the true stories of Holocaust victims. In the final part of the play, the audience writes messages to the imaginary deceased people. Through this experience, the victims are no longer merely imaginary figures.
